Introduction to Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization

Red Hat® OpenShift® Virtualization (formerly container-native virtualization) is a feature of Red HatOpenShift that allows you to run and manage virtual machine (VM) and container workloads side by side. Although development is moving to containers or even serverless, the need to run virtualized workloads close to containerized workloads using the same tools and methods remains. OpenShift Virtualization is based on KubeVirt, an open-source project that makes it possible to run VMson a Kubernetes-managed container platform. KubeVirt delivers container-native virtualization by using a Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM) within a Kubernetes container.
