Richard Harmon | VP, Global Head of Financial Services

Dr. Harmon is the Global Head of Financial Services at Red Hat. He joined Red Hat in December, 2020 and has over 20 years of experience in Capital Markets with specializations in Risk Management, Advance Analytics, Fixed Income Research and Simulation Analysis. Prior to Red Hat, Dr. Harmon was Managing Director of Financial Services at Cloudera and also SAP Financial Services. Prior to this he held senior positions in Capital Markets at Citibank, Bankers Trust, JP Morgan, BlackRock, and Bank of America/Countrywide Capital Markets. He started his career at the NY Fed and Federal Reserve Board as a Research Economist. Dr. Harmon holds a PhD in Economics with specialization in Econometrics from Georgetown University.

Bruno has spent over 14 years in technology consulting focused in tech strategy and delivery execution across financial services and other industries. Broad technology architecture skills and extensive experience in delivering large scale and complex technology transformation programs. Currently at Red Hat Bruno splits his time between thought leadership, technology strategy and solution planning for large FS clients with a strong emphasis on application modernization, mainframe applications transformation through open source and API driven economy.

Jim Bennett | Capital Markets Business Leader

Jim Bennett joined Red Hat in 2022 to lead the Capital Markets business as well as support accounts around the globe. Prior to this Jim served as the global head of business development for Sapient Global Markets, a provider of a range of services to the financial service market participants. He began his career as an officer for Texas Commerce Bank, which would eventually become JP Morgan Chase & Co. He has served as executive vice president of Countrywide Capital Markets, primarily focusing on its rates business, alternative investment company and expanding its international offices. Bennett also worked in various management and executive roles at Bank of America such as CFO, COO, and Global Head of Middle Office.
